Throughout the past week there have been some pretty exciting game announcements from Stadia(and an exciting release too). On the 21st of October they announced the upcoming release of “Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot” and “Mad Streets”. While Kakarot was able to release on it’s listed date (October 26 2021), Mad Streets is listed as “Coming Soon” in the announcement.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
In Kakarot you play through the story of Dragon Ball Z. Letting you play has a lot of the famous Z fighters. In addition to the story that many know and love, there is a lot of new for you to discover as well. Between the epic battles, the new and old areas to explore Kakarot looks to be a lot of fun.
Mad Streets
Mad Streets is a fun physics heavy beat ’em up party game. It’s a pick up and play game making it easy to jump in to at any time. There appear to be lots of objects that you can use has weapons. Game modes like Smash and Grab, Rumble and one Punch. Playable with up to four players in co-op or multiplayer.
After that, on October 27, they announced another pair of games coming soon to Stadia. “World War Z: Aftermath” is set to release some time “This Winter”. Meanwhile, “Fire Commander” has been slated to release sometime in 2022. Both look to be high paced, action packed games. Adding two more games making a total of 4 announced and one released in roughly one week.
World War Z: Aftermath
Word War Z: Aftermath is in the World of the Paramount Picture Brad Pitt Film of the Same Name, and it is also the sequel to the hit game World War Z. Launching with full Cross-Platform support some time this winter. You can join with friends or AI powered allies and knocking back the hordes of zombies and hopefully change the tide of the war against them.
Fire Commander
Finally, we have Fire Commander which puts you at the head of a Troop of Fire Fighters, putting the lives of many people in your hands. The fires seem to spread in a life-like fashion and you need to consider things like, Wind, back draft, smoke, and the rate at which different materials burn. This looks like a pretty fun game, and we look forward towards hearing more about it before it’s release sometime in 2022.
I always like to see fun games coming to Stadia, and even more so ones that you can play with your friends. With at least 2 of these being multi-player for sure, and another that looks like it might be likely I’d say I’m pretty happy with these two sets of release announcements. The Stadia team is more than on pace to surpass 100 new games this year, and now over 200 games are on that platform.
Mad streets and fire commander both look like they’re gonna be great games
